The 2024 Bransaveisla is Here: Featuring Key Figures and Innovators Shaping the Global Music Industry

From November 4th to 6th, Bransaveislan (e. music industry celebration) will take place for the fourth time. Bransaveislan is a free educational and event series organised by Iceland Music and Reykjavík Music City, with support from Business Iceland. Its purpose is to connect international industry professionals visiting the country for Iceland Airwaves, the country’s most important showcase festival, directly with the Icelandic music community. There will be masterclasses, workshops, and various other networking opportunities in downtown Reykjavík.

Alongside the Iceland Airwaves festival, one of the most ambitious music conferences Iceland has seen will be held. Iceland Music and Reykjavík Music City, along with Iceland Airwaves and Business Iceland, are organising this conference and inviting leading pioneers and outstanding individuals from the international music industry to the country. Bransaveislan is intended as a supplementary program to this magnificent conference, aiming to connect professionals from the international music industry with the Icelandic music community.

This year’s agenda for Bransaveislan is diverse and ambitious, featuring highlights such as a ‘Fireside Chat’ with Júnía Lín, Laufey’s creative director and a Management Masterclass by James Sandom and Al Mills from Red Light UK. Additionally, “Útrás”, a course for artists seeking to export their music, will begin at Bransaveislan. Regular features will also be included in the program, such as the popular Networking Speed-Meetings, where musicians can book meetings with this star-studded group of industry professionals who have come to connect with the Icelandic music scene.

Admission to all Bransaveisla events is free, but registration is necessary, and space may be limited in some cases. Therefore, we strongly encourage interested parties to familiarise themselves with the event as soon as possible and take full advantage of this unique opportunity.

Einn, tveir og Airwaves!

Where: Tónlistarmiðstöð, Austurstræti 5, 101 Reykjavík
