Reykjavík Jazz

Reykjavík Jazz has been held annually since 1990 and is the second oldest music festival in Iceland. It is the leading platform for Icelandic jazz, the highlight of the country’s jazz scene, and an annual celebration of Icelandic jazz musicians.

The festival’s aim is to support and promote jazz music by providing musicians and audiences with an outstanding platform for performance and appreciation. Its diverse and vibrant programme showcases the best of both Icelandic and international jazz.

Iceland Music plays an active role in the festival through international promotion and networking events. The goal is to strengthen the connections of Icelandic jazz musicians with international counterparts and to increase global visibility for Icelandic music.
