Dark Music Days

Dark Music Days is Iceland’s premier contemporary music festival. Founded in 1980 by the Society of Icelandic Composers as a platform for Icelandic composers to present their works, the festival continues to place particular emphasis on new Icelandic compositions and performers.

Iceland Music plays an active role in the festival through international promotion and networking. In collaboration with PR agencies engaged by Business Iceland, we contribute to international publicity and marketing efforts and organise a delegate programme for international professionals. This includes Podium, a platform where Icelandic and international professionals meet, exchange knowledge, and strengthen their networks.
