Hitakassinn

Hitakassinn is a workshop programme organised by Reykjavík Music City in collaboration with Hitt Húsið and Iceland Music. The project is designed for young musicians who reach the finals of Músíktilraunir (Iceland’s Battle of the Bands), with the aim of empowering the next generation of artists in Iceland.

Through Hitakassinn, participants gain insight into the Icelandic music industry via lectures, panel discussions, and practical assignments. The programme covers a wide range of topics related to a career in music, from recording and live performance to media, marketing, and project management.

The project equips young artists with tools to strengthen their skills, expand their networks, and gain a deeper understanding of how the music industry operates in practice.
