Festival Fund

Iceland Music, in collaboration with Business Iceland, regularly hosts international journalists and industry professionals in connection with Icelandic music festivals. The aim is to strengthen international coverage of Icelandic music and to build new connections that increase its global visibility. Until now, this has mainly been done in relation to Iceland Airwaves, Reykjavík Jazz Festival, and Dark Music Days, but in 2025 the Festival Fund of Iceland Music and Business Iceland was established, making it possible for other festivals to take part in similar collaborations.

The Festival Fund provides Icelandic music festivals with support to welcome international journalists, artistic directors, or other key figures from the music sector. In doing so, it helps boost international visibility, build stronger networks, and create new opportunities for Icelandic music.
