Viltu starfa í tónlistariðnaðinum? Háskólinn á Bifröst og Listaháskóli Íslands kynna nýtt örnám í tónlistarviðskiptum

08 December 2025

The University of Bifröst and the Iceland University of the Arts are launching a new 12-ECTS online micro-programme in Music Business.

Taught in English, the programme offers a flexible pathway both for those starting their higher-education journey and for professionals already working in the music sector. The course blends academic grounding with hands-on skills, giving participants access to expert insight and an international network to support adaptation and growth in a rapidly changing industry.

Students build a practical toolkit that will serve them in further study and throughout their careers. Coursework focuses on the key stages that follow the creative process—including distribution, marketing, release management, cultural policy, funding, audience development, and digital strategy.

This programme is well suited to artists who wish to self-release their work, as well as those interested in working with artists, managing projects, leading marketing or release campaigns, or developing a stronger understanding of music business and operations.

Applications are open until 5 January 2026.

Teaching begins on 6 January 2026 and the programme is delivered across three courses during the spring semester of 2026.
