Travel grants are awarded to musicians and music professionals seeking opportunities in larger markets, e.g. through tours, participation in delegations, trade fairs, and showcase festivals. Grants are also awarded to composers for premieres of musical works, as well as to professionals for work-related domestic travel, such as attending conferences and networking events.
Grants are awarded every two months, and the most recent application deadline was 1 August. A total of 35 applications were submitted, amounting to ISK 10,575,000, and the allocation committee decided to support 13 projects with a total of ISK 4,300,000.
The next application deadline for travel grants is 1 October.
