The Music Fund provides travel grants every other month. They are provided to support Icelandic artists and professionals who are building an international career.

Travel grants are:
– 75 thousand ISK per person to travel within Europe
– 100 thousand ISK. per person to travel outside Europe

Grants are not granted retroactively. Applications must be received BEFORE the 1st of each month.

Rating Scale

The criteria the board looks at is the following:

• Is the project export ready?
• The importance of the concert / event for the export of the music.
  • Indicate if it’s a showcase festival
• Number of concerts per tour
• For composers, is this a premiere of an original composition?
  
• The attached budget sheet clearly demonstrates a need for funds .
