Iceland Music, in collaboration with SSNE, is coming to Akureyri to introduce its operations and the services and support we provide for musicians and others working in the Icelandic music industry. Additionally, there will be a presentation on the reimbursement scheme for music recordings in Iceland as well as the Music Fund, which Iceland Music administers on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education. The next deadline for the Music Fund is April 15th

We’ll cover:

  • Iceland Music – Supporting and promoting Icelandic music internationally, connecting artists with global markets, and providing industry guidance. More info
  • The Music Fund – Grants for Icelandic musicians and projects to support releases, performances, and international promotion. Next application deadline: April 15. More info
  • Music Recording Reimbursements – Up to 25% reimbursement on recording costs in Iceland (min. 80% of costs must be incurred in Iceland). More info
