LEIÐIR - New Program hosted by INNI Music
LEIÐIR is a new programme for aspiring composers and producers in Iceland, designed to uplift and support underrepresented voices in the music industry.
Running from May to November 2025, the programme will include six half-day workshops, regular mentorship sessions, collaborative projects, a midway review, and a final showcase event at a local venue in Autumn.
LEIÐIR will be led by INNI’s founders, in-house artists, and collaborators, offering participants the opportunity to learn directly from professionals working at the highest level of the industry. All workshops and mentorship sessions will take place at INNI’s studios in Reykjavík.

Upprásin is now accepting applications!
Where? Harpa
When? September 2025 – May 2026
Grassroots music thrives at Harpa with Upprásin, a concert series that began in autumn 2023. The series takes place in Kaldalón, on the ground floor of Harpa, with concerts held one Tuesday evening each month from September through May. Three acts perform each night. Ticket prices are kept low to make the concerts as accessible as possible.
Upprásin was nominated for the 2023 Icelandic Music Awards in the “Music Event of the Year” category, and also received a “Shout Out” nomination at The Reykjavík Grapevine’s annual music awards, which honour those who helped improve the music scene that year.
The concert series is presented by Harpa in collaboration with Reykjavík Music City, Rás 2, and Landsbankinn.

Applications now open for Eurosonic!
Where: Groningen, the Netherlands
When: January 14–17, 2026
Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen is one of Europe’s leading showcase festivals and music industry conferences. Held annually in mid-January, ESNS focuses on emerging European artists and features over 350 performances spanning a wide range of genres. The festival attracts more than 40,000 visitors—including over 400 international festival bookers.
Alongside the concerts, a conference takes place offering workshops, panel discussions, presentations, and more.
Numerous Icelandic artists have performed at ESNS and gone on to seize international opportunities. Past participants include Ásgeir, Vök, Sunna Margrét, Supersport!, and many others.

Applications now open for MENT!
Where: Ljubljana, Slovenia
When: February 18–21, 2026
MENT Ljubljana, in conjunction with its music conference, aims to showcase European artists to international music professionals and audiences. The festival serves as a meeting point for artists, industry experts, and music lovers alike.
