Musicians can now apply to perform at the Nordic Folk Alliance in Uppsala, Sweden, from April 3–5, 2025. This event is both a music festival and conference, focusing on folk music in it's many forms and offering opportunities to connect with industry professionals.

In recent years, Icelandic participants like Blood Harmony, Svavar Knútur, Umbra, Lón, Árstíðir, and Breki have built strong industry connections through the festival. A Nordic selection committee will review applications in December, with one act from Iceland chosen to perform.

Selected artists will have flights and accommodation covered. Participation in the conference is expected, providing a valuable space to network and learn about the music sector.

Sigtryggur Baldursson from Iceland Music will be present to assist Icelandic participants.
