Join Iceland Music at Eurosonic Noorderslag, 14-17 January 2026

18 December 2025

Iceland Music will attend Eurosonic in January and is inviting applications from two Icelandic music industry professionals who would like to take part in the trip. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your professional network and present yourself and your projects at one of Europe’s most important music industry festivals.

About Eurosonic Noorderslag

Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), held in Groningen, the Netherlands, is one of Europe’s largest and most influential music industry festivals. Taking place annually in mid-January, the festival focuses on emerging European music. ESNS presents around 350 concerts across a wide range of genres and attracts more than 40,000 attendees, including over 400 international festival bookers.

Alongside the showcases, the ESNS conference programme features workshops, panel discussions, presentations and more.

This year, three Icelandic acts will perform at the festival: the beloved singer-songwriter Elín Hall, party starters Inspector Spacetime, and the towering metal band Múr. Over the years, the festival has hosted a great many Icelandic artists, who have often gone on to receive numerous further opportunities after performing at ESNS. These include, for example, Ásgeir, Vök, Sunna Margrét, Supersport, and many more.

What does participation include?

Selected participants will receive a travel grant of ISK 75,000 and a discount on festival and conference passes. Participants will also have access to networking events organised by Iceland Music in collaboration with Nordic and European partner organisations, including invitation-only networking events hosted by Iceland Music together with other Nordic music centres.

Who should apply?

We are looking for professionals working with Icelandic music, including record labels, managers, booking agents, music publishers, promoters and other industry professionals. Priority will be given to applicants working with artists who are export-ready, have a clear international outlook and a strong interest in building connections in foreign markets.

Application deadline: 2 January
