Classical:NEXT Takes Place in Berlin, Germany, 12–15 May 2025

As in previous years, Iceland Music will take part in Classical:NEXT, alongside a group of Icelandic musicians and industry professionals. Those who register before 20 March can receive a discount code for the festival’s registration fee from us, but it is possible to sign up until the very last day.

Classical:NEXT is an international music conference dedicated to classical and contemporary music and is one of the most important global gatherings for professionals in the field. The festival provides a unique platform for musicians from around the world to showcase their work, present projects, and connect with industry professionals.

A Nordic Hub at Classical:NEXT

Iceland Music will be part of a shared Nordic stand together with Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and the Faroe Islands. This stand serves as a base for meetings and networking for everyone attending with us. In addition to the international exhibition area, the event also features a concert programme, a conference, and various other events throughout the festival.

Who Attends Classical:NEXT?

At Classical:NEXT, you can expect to meet fellow musicians, orchestra representatives, event organisers, publishers, agents, artistic directors, and more. You can check out last year’s attendees here, while the list of this year’s participants will be published closer to the festival—an excellent resource for planning meetings and networking.

What Does It Cost to Attend?

Attending Classical:NEXT involves travel expenses and a registration fee, but as mentioned earlier, Iceland Music can offer a discount on registration until 20 March. You can find details on registration fees here. We also strongly encourage interested participants to apply for travel grants from the Music Fund.
