The magnificent Eydís Evensen took a short break from celebrating the release of her new single “Drifter” to take over our Love Letter playlist.

“Drifter” is the fifth single from her forthcoming album Oceanic Mirror, out 10 October. She tours soon after—opening in Berlin on 17 October—with highlights in Brussels, Paris, New York, Montréal, Toronto, London and Manchester; full dates here.

Eydís’s playlist breathes autumn: the moment when everything settles into dormancy and the cyclical nature of the world comes into focus. Contrasts in a constant tug-of-war; the violent surf and the eerie stillness, the window weather and the icy drizzle. The shorts we swore we’d live in all summer slip back into the wardrobe, and we reluctantly pull out the thermals.

Eydís’s Love Letter steers the mind away from the looming winter and gently suggests we curl up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a good book.
