Music Fund Announces Additional Travel Grants - Now for Work-Related Domestic Travel
Travel grants are provided by the Export Division and are intended for musicians and professionals seeking opportunities abroad. Now, professionals in the music industry can also apply for a grant of 50,000 kr. for work-related travel between regions, such as attending international conferences, workshops and networking events that enhance export opportunities for their projects.This addition to the travel grant is a pilot project set to run until the end of 2024.
The application deadline is midnight on Thursday, October 31, and applications can be submitted here.
About the Music Fund's Travel Grants:
Amounts available for application:
- 50,000 ISK per individual within the country
- 75,000 ISK per individual within Europe
- 100,000 ISK per individual outside Europe
Grants are not awarded retroactively, and the following criteria will be considered when evaluating travel grant applications:
- Is the musician/group export ready?
- The importance of the concert/event for exporting the music.
- The number of concerts during the tour.
- Is it a world premiere (for composers)?
