Ásgeir, Moyka and Elinborg have been selected to take part in Mexico Calling – a new collaborative project between Music Norway, Faroe Music Export and Iceland Music, with support from the Nordic Culture Fund and LiveMX. The artists will perform three concerts at the venue Foro Indie Rocks! in Mexico City on November 17, 19 and 22. These concerts mark the high point of a wide-ranging, long-term project aimed at connecting the artists with one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest-growing music markets.

Alt-pop artist Moyka (Norway) has been remarkably prolific in recent years and has received widespread acclaim as a result. Dubbed “the Norwegian pop witch” and “the future of Scandipop,” Moyka recently released the single 24/7 and now brings fresh and exciting material to Mexico.

Elinborg (Faroe Islands) has earned recognition for her dark electro-pop rooted in her Faroese heritage. Alongside her solo career, Elinborg has also released music with the pan-Scandinavian band Hoym, which includes Icelandic artist K.Óla among its members. Elinborg is set to release her debut album Í Ævir this autumn.

Ásgeir (Iceland) is one of the country’s most successful and internationally recognised singer-songwriters, first breaking through with his debut album In the Silence (Dýrð í dauðaþögn) which topped charts at home and gained widespread attention abroad. Known for his crystalline vocals and atmospheric blend of folk and electronic elements, Ásgeir is now preparing to release his new album Julia. His upcoming performances in Mexico City form an important part of the album’s global launch.
