Now we come to the third and final video that The Line of Best Fit produced in collaboration with Record in Iceland during last year’s Iceland Airwaves. This time, the singular Lúpína made her way down to Smekkleysa early Saturday morning to deliver this chilling and turbulent rendition of her song Ein á báti. The track closes out her album, Marglytta, which was released last year to high praise for its commanding songwriting and immersive soundscapes.

Lúpína is the solo project of Norwegian-Icelandic artist Nína Sólveig Andersen, who first emerged in 2022 with her debut single Ástarbréf. Since then, she has released the albums Ringluð and Marglytta, earning international attention for her powerful, enigmatic, and otherworldly sound. Lúpína is a force of nature with big ambitions.

Next, she heads to SXSW in Austin, where she will perform at the Iceland Airwaves showcase alongside Sunna Margrét and Superserious. The event, presented in collaboration with Iceland Music and Business Iceland, takes place at Shangri-La on March 11th.
