During last year's Airwaves week, Sunna Margrét took a brief break from the city's noise and headed to the tranquil countryside of Hvalfjörður. There, she performed a haunting rendition of her song Fern for The Line of Best Fit. The intimate cabin session is part of a video series that TLOBF has been producing in collaboration with Record in Iceland in recent years.

A staple in Iceland’s music scene since joining Bloodgroup in 2010 at just 18, Sunna’s solo career gained momentum last year with the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Finger on Tongue. Since then, she has taken the stage at major festivals, including a recent appearance at Eurosonic in Groningen.

Next up, Sunna is set to perform at SXSW in Austin this March, where she will be part of Iceland Airwaves’ official showcase alongside Elín Hall, Lúpína, and Superserious. The event, hosted in collaboration with Iceland Music and Business Iceland, takes place at Shangri-La on March 11.
