About the Project: Making Tracks is a global music initiative based in the United Kingdom, designed to promote culturally diverse music in the UK's smaller cities. Each year, eight musicians are selected to participate in a two-week artist residency followed by a two-week tour across the UK.
Program Details:
Artist Residency: During the residency, musicians have the opportunity to collaborate on new projects and receive career guidance from industry professionals. This phase of the program focuses on creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
UK Tour: Following the residency, the selected musicians will embark on a tour of the UK, performing in a variety of venues across both small and medium-sized cities. The tour includes 10 concerts, offering participants exposure to diverse audiences and performance environments.
Eligibility:
- Musicians aged 19-35
- Artists who create music inspired or rooted by their culture
- Individuals interested in collaborative projects
- Experimental musicians working with soundscapes, field recordings, and sound art
- Environmentalists
