Iceland Music is heading to Sonar Festival and Sonar+D in Barcelona this June, and we’re looking for two Icelandic music professionals to join us. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the international music industry, explore new markets, and stay up to date with the latest trends in electronic music and creative technology.

The trip is organised in collaboration with Music Finland and Oulu – the European Capital of Culture for 2026, bringing together professionals from Iceland, Finland, and the Oulu cultural initiative. Sonar Festival, taking place June 12–14, is one of the largest and most influential electronic music festivals in the world, attracting over 125,000 attendees annually. Alongside the festival, the Sonar+D conference highlights the future of electronic music and innovation within the industry.

What’s Included?

Selected participants will receive a conference and festival pass. Travel costs are not covered, but participants are strongly encouraged to apply for travel funding from the Music Fund. Iceland Music will also host networking events from June 11–13, both within Sonar+D and in external settings, offering participants the chance to meet key industry players.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for Icelandic music professionals in pop, rock, and electronic music with international experience and and interest in expanding into the Spanish market.
