Iceland Airwaves announced 25 new acts today that will perform at the festival, which takes place November 5–7. Of these, 13 are Icelandic artists spanning the whole spectrum. Among them are artists who have shaped the festival for years, such as Agent Fresco, returning to the festival after quite a long break from it, Spacestation, Kaktus Einarsson, and singer-songwriter Una Torfa. The king and queen of Icelandic rap, Birnir and Cell7, have also confirmed their participation, along with folk bands Blood Harmony and Sycamore Tree, super-producer CeaseTone, and the wistful Sandrayati.

The grassroots naturally get their place too, as Iceland Airwaves is truly a harvest festival for Iceland's grassroots music — the freak-folk band Emma, the emo-tinged Juno Paul, and the experimental duo Apex-Anima & Frznte are all booked.
