Iceland Airwaves, taking place November 6–8, has announced 29 new artists for this year’s lineup — including 11 exciting Icelandic acts set to perform this autumn.

Leading the charge is the much-anticipated return of the legendary band Retro Stefson, reuniting after a long hiatus that ended late last year with a major comeback concert at Valsheimilið.

True to its roots, Iceland Airwaves continues to champion the local grassroots scene, spotlighting the freshest and most innovative sounds emerging from the Icelandic music scene. This year's lineup includes the moody punk energy of Geðbrigði, the quirky pop stylings of Drengurinn Fengurinn, and the scuzz-rockers of Spacestation.

The Icelandic hip-hop scene is also well represented, with the crowd-favorite Herra Hnetusmjör and the bold, unfiltered alaska1867 joining the bill.

On the funkier side of things, Ari Árelíus and Creature of Habit carry the torch for introspective pop, while Iðunn Einars and Inki deliver their own dreamy take on cosmic pop.

And not to be missed is the acclaimed singer-songwriter JFDR, bringing her powerful presence to the stage as one of the festival’s standout voices.

Adding even more star power, beloved Icelandic artist Mugison will perform alongside the Iceland Symphony Orchestra at Harpa, promising a truly unforgettable experience.
