Icelandic acts CYBER and Spacestation have been announced for this year’s Great Escape Festival, taking place 15–17 May in Brighton, UK.

Both bands are coming off a phenomenal 2024 and have started 2025 with a bang.

CYBER’s album SAD:'( was released last year to widespread critical acclaim, earning Album of the Year from Morgunblaðið, alongside a win for Artist of the Year at the Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards. A force of nature, CYBER have firmly established themselves as a leading voice of fun and experimentation in Iceland’s live music scene. They are part of marvaða—the mysterious record label, collective, and creation nucleus that has been making menacing waves over the past couple of years.

Spacestation released their debut album Reykjavík Syndrome earlier this year, followed by a sold-out release concert at Iðnó that will go down in history books. The band has been on a rapid rise since the release of their first single Hvítt Vín in 2023, which was nominated for Song of the Year at the Iceland Music Awards. They returned to the ceremony in 2025 to take home that very award for their biggest single to date, Í Draumalandinu.
