Early one morning during last week's Iceland Airwaves festival, Alaska1867 arrived at IÐNÓ to perform "Músalagið," a brand-new track from the artist's upcoming album, for The Line of Best Fit. The result is this stunning video, produced by TLOBF in collaboration with Record in Iceland.
Alaska1867 was undoubtedly one of the most notable new voices in Icelandic music in 2025. Early that year, she released her debut album, 222, through the record label Sticky Records, owned by the legendary café Prikið. Alaska1867 also responsible for one of the year's most popular hits, "Ljósin kvikna."
This marks the premiere of "Músalagið," which Alaska describes as a song about curiosity and heartbreak.
