Iceland Music, Iceland Airwaves, and Reykjavik Music City are thrilled to announce a stellar lineup of speakers for the IA Conference, taking place on November 6th-7th.

These influential industry leaders and innovators are set to offer their insights, share their experiences, and reveal the strategies that have shaped their success. Let's explore the future of music together!

New speakers:

Ariane Mohr is part of the booking team for the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, one of the largest showcase festivals in the world. During her studies of Cultural Studies and Popular Music Studies, she started to channel her creative energy into the organisation of music events and was part of the non-profit, student-run lunatic Festival. In 2018 she began working for Reeperbahn Festival actively contributing to its development into what it is today.

Anna Hildur is Programme Director of the BA in Creative Industries at Bifröst University. With over 30 years of experience in the creative industries, she has transitioned from journalism to managing Icelandic and Nordic music export programmes, to an award-winning producer-director of documentary films.

Pan Thorarensen is a musician and concert promoter, and he also organises the acclaimed experimental music festival Extreme Chill. Pan has composed music for short films and documentaries and has released numerous albums under various artist names, including Stereo Hypnosis.

Peter is a Manager at Red Light in London with a roster of critically acclaimed & globally successful artists in the alternative/indie space & the co-founder & director of the UK independent label Chess Club Records (est. 2007). Previously, Peter was Head of A&R, Business & Creative at RCA & Geffen Records, Senior A&R at Polydor Records and, prior to that, a music & IP lawyer at Clintons, London.

Josie Anne Gaitens is a journalist and cultural organiser originally from the Scottish Highlands. Now based in Iceland, she is a staff writer for Iceland Review, as well as working with creative organisations across the country and internationally. A member of the Hafnarhaus community, she is passionate about developing and promoting the rich cultural capital of Iceland.

Anna Rut has extensive experience in project and event management in the cultural sector, with a focus on music. With a master's degree in Cultural and Creative Industries from King's College London, she has led diverse projects for music festivals and institutions, such as Iceland Airwaves, Reykjavik Arts Festival, Iceland Music, Reykjavik Music City, as well as leading PR campaigns for musicians and music labels.
