Iceland Music is thrilled to announce its participation in the 2025 South by Southwest (SXSW) which takes place March 7-16 in Austin,Texas. Today the festival announced three outstanding Icelandic artists—lúpína, Elín Hall, and Sunna Margrét— on the line up.
SXSW, the world’s biggest showcase festival, is globally recognised as a pivotal platform for emerging talent. For Iceland Music, SXSW represents an unparalleled chance to spotlight Iceland’s burgeoning music scene on a world stage.
This year’s Icelandic lineup reflects the country’s diverse and groundbreaking music scene:
- lúpína whose music includes complex layers of synths and soundscapes, exploring the boundaries of pop music and blending different genres seamlessly.
- Elín Hall whose storytelling sets her apart. A local phenomenon which has started to captivate global audiences with her signature dreamy soundscape.
- Sunna Margrét, a boundary-pushing electronic artist that fuses experimental textures with vivid melodies, drawing inspiration from “strange encounters with people".
