Taste of Iceland in Seattle

Kicking off on October 11, Iceland Naturally welcomes Seattle to experience Icelandic culture with the return of the renowned Taste of Iceland! Back for its 12th year, the festival immerses Seattle in the best of Iceland’s culture, showcasing the nation’s cuisine, music, literature, film and more with a variety of events throughout the city.

The Reykjavík Calling concert comes to Seattle on October 19. This free concert features two of Iceland’s most prominent and promising artists Kælan Mikla, a dark wave/synth punk band whose fanbase includes The Cure’s Robert Smith, and Sólstafir, a Reykjavik based rock band famed for their atmospheric Icelandic Rock and Roll. Admission is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Must be 21+.

Ja Ja Ja Club Night - London

Ja Ja Ja returns to London on Thursday 26th September, teaming up with Iceland Airwaves to kick off our 10th anniversary season!

Returning from our summer break, the Ja Ja Ja Nordic club nights are back and set to embark upon their 10th anniversary season (!!!), kicking off with a show in collaboration with Iceland Airwaves Festival! 

Three emerging Nordic artists have been hand-picked by the Ja Ja Ja and Iceland Airwaves booking teams to not only perform at The Lexington on Thursday 26th September, but also to appear at the 2019 edition of Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavik.

Taste of Iceland in New York

Iceland Naturally invites New York City to experience Icelandic culture with the return of Taste of Iceland from September 11-15! The five-day festival highlights the very best of Iceland’s culture, showcasing the nation’s cuisine, music, literature, and film with a variety of events throughout the city. 

This year during Taste of Iceland, there will also be a special tribute concert to the late Icelandic composer, Johann Johannsson. The event will take place at Basilica Soundscape in Hudson, NY and feature the North American and US premiere performance of Vidulegu Forsetar, a major 70 minute work for brass ensemble, organ, piano, bass, and percussion.

The Reykjavik Calling concert, sponsored by WFUV, comes to New York City on Saturday, Sep. 14 at the Brooklyn Brewery. This free concert features two of Iceland’s most prominent and promising artists, including Sólstafir, a Reykjavik based rock band famed for their atmospheric Icelandic Rock and Roll; Kælan Mikla, a dark wave/synth punk whose fanbase includes The Cure’s Robert Smith.
