This year’s edition of Iceland Airwaves – the festival's 10th anniversary – was one of the most successful and dynamic yet, with international stars like Vampire Weekend, CSS and White Denim playing alongside scores of blistering local acts in ‘official’ and ‘off-venue’ locations. Running parallel to the 10th Anniversary of Iceland Airwaves Reykjavik also played host to the inaugural year of You Are In Control! the first international music conference of its kind, which gathered together some of the most forward thinking business people and entrepreneurs in the music industry.

Sigur Rós round off their phenomenal year with the release of a new single, a special edition of their recent Top 5 album (including two stunning new films and a 196 page hardbound book), a hugely anticipated European tour featuring their biggest solo headline shows to date in the UK (supported by fellow Icelanders For a Minor Reflection), and a one-off special gig in Iceland!
