Icelandic Artists Confirmed for Popkomm
MugisonIceland Music Export, booking agency Toutpartout and record labels Cargo and Morr Music have joined forces to present three key Icelandic artsts - Mugison, Seabear and Borko - at this year's Popkomm conference.
 

Emiliana Gets Intimate
Emiliana TorriniIn anticipation of her new album Me and Armini, Icelandic songstress Emiliana Torrini will play two intimate dates in the beautiful environs of Trinity Hall and St. Giles Churches, located in Briston and London respectively. Emiliana will be backed by a full band and showcasing her fantastic new album.


Bang Gang Tour Dates
Bang GangIcelandic troubadours Bang Gang, who recently released their third album Ghosts From The Past, will play a slew of international dates throughout September, October and November 2008.

Hot Icelandic Acts Play London Airwaves
Five Icelandic acts have been confirmed to play at this month's special London Airwaves event: energetic popsters Retro Stefson, President Bongo of Gusgus (DJ set), electro groovers FM Belfast, singer/songwriter Dísa and current dancefloor heroes Steed Lord.
 

Mugison Takes on America
 Iceland's most hotly tipped music hero, Mugison, embarks on his landmark US tour this month. With rave reviews of both his trip to America is highly anticipated. The tour will continue to promote Mugison's latest record, the searing, gutsy 'Mugiboogie', which will be getting a US release through the IPECAC label.

Born in Reykjavík in 1980, Ólöf Arnalds began her musical education with the violin in 1986, followed by classical voice training in her teens. A self-trained guitarist and master of a variety of instruments, Ólöf has been a prominent figure in the Icelandic music scene for a number of years.
