Irresistibly energetic dance stars Sykur (translation: sugar) are on the up and up after signing to Mark Jones' Wall of Sound label last year, and their EP 'Mesopotamia' has won the group legions of fans the world over. And now they're coming to the UK in July! How lucky are we, then, that they took the time out of their crammed schedule to answer our questions? VERY. They reveal their penchant for almonds and that their pre-show routine involves lots of shouting, amongst other things. We love them.

We are pleased to unveil our latest Spotlight interview with the super busy rising star Ásgeir Trausti, who has just completed a UK tour with the mighty John Grant, and is soon to head off in June with Of Monsters And Men as their main support. His debut album ‘Dýrð í dauðaþögn’ became Iceland’s biggest selling debut album by a domestic artist on its release last September, going platinum and winning him no less than 4 Icelandic Music Awards and a nomination for the Nordic Music Prize earlier this year. Blimey! We've got to find out what makes this fellow tick!

The super duper Icelandic band amiina are stepping into the gleam of our IMX Spotlight this time, and what a treat that is! The group, who were also formerly Sigur Ros' string section, have been making beauteous sounds together since the 1990s, and have a brand new album, titled The Lighthouse Project', due on June 7th! It's high time we shone the IMX Spotlight on the enigmatic Dream Central Station. Their eponymous new album, which was released at the end of 2012, has been garnering excellent reviews and intriguing press and public across the board. When Hallberg Hallbergson (Jakobinarina / Singapore Sling) and Elsa Maria Blöndal (Go-Go Darkness) decided to conjure musical magic together, Dream Central Station was, as they themselves put it, "finally born," before adding that "nothing less than perfect will be tolerated." Crumbs. We'd better ask good questions.
