Agent Fresco win Iceland BOTB

Agent Fresco have been named as the winners of Iceland’s prestigious Battle Of The Bands competition. The band beat down stiff competition from The Pet Cemetery (second) and Bárujárn (third) to take the first prize – a trip to London to compete in the GBOB World Finals on December 14th/15th, 2008.

The band play a heady blend of rock, jazz and funk and are about to release their debut album, Lightbulb Universe. “I think we all feel extremely good at this moment…proud is also a good word to use,” commented singer Arnór Dan Arnarson “Not just proud of our music and our achievements, but also just sincerely thankful for all the congratulations that we have received from many bands, attendees, strangers, friends and families, and in that way extremely proud to be Icelandic, as horribly tacky that may sound. It almost feels like that we are truly going there to represent our home with the entire population’s trust and faith pushing us fast forward. Simply amazing.”
