Jónsi Nominated For 2010 World Soundtrack Awards!
Singer-songwriter Jónsi of Sigur Rós has been nominated for the 2010 World Soundtrack Awards for the best originally composed song in a movie. The nomination is for the song “Sticks & Stones” which is in the film How to Train Your Dragon.

Seabear Tour & Run A Contest!
Icelandic dream-pop septet Seabear have just embarked on a tour of Germany, and will be heading to the US in the fall in support of their sophomore release We Built A Fire (Morr Music). The band has been touring throughout Europe and will return to the states after their first ever North American tour this past spring.

Ampop's Biggi To Release Film Soundtrack!
Ampop frontman Biggi Hilmarsson has composed the original score to the new feature-length documentary ‘Future of Hope’, which was released nationwide in Icelandic cinemas in beginning of September, and is to be premiered internationally early 2011. The film also features tracks from Damien Rice, Ampop, Lára, Feldberg, Blindfold and Vyvienne Long.

Nico Muhly To Release Two Albums Via Decca Classics!
Two brand new CDs by Bedroom Community starlet Nico Muhly will be released on September 6th 2010; 'A Good Understanding' and 'I Drink The Air Before Me'. 'A Good Understanding' - a collection of choral works performed by The Los Angeles Master Chorale and recorded in Disney Hall, L.A. - will be released by the legendary record label Decca Classics.

Hjaltalín Tour Scandinavia!
Following the August release of their album Terminal in Scandinavia, nine-piece melodic rock band Hjaltalín are to embark on a mini tour of the region, playing one off shows in Oslo, Arhus and Copenhagen as well as a TV appearance on the hugely popular God morgen Norge on TV2 on the morning of Sept 8th.
