Reykjavík! - Locust Sounds
November 29, 2011 at 8:54am
Iceland's favourite rock troublemakers Reykjavík! have released their third album, Locust Sounds. The LP consists of 14 brand new tracks and is out now on Kimi Records.
Reykjavík! – described as Les Savy Fav's "Icelandic rascal of a brother" – have been terrorising ears since 2004, and we've been loving every minute of it. This record features some classic Reykjavík! humour in the song titles too, with tracks such as 'Nurse, Please' and 'You Are A Sensitive Man And Your Feelings Are Easily Hurt'. In the words of the chaps themselves, they were also "touching down on divine sounds" when they wrote the songs for this release, while their first two records were "mostly inspired by Satan and Thor, in equal measures". Intrigued? You should be.
