| Event Info: | We are proud to offer over 20 concerts with both Icelandic leading performers and international artists, presenting early music with period instruments and contemporary music, some of which has been especially commissioned for this occasion. |
| Event History: | he festival was founded in 1975 by harpsichordist Helga Ingólfsdóttir. It is the oldest music festival in Iceland and holds a leading role in cultural events outside Reykjavik during the summer. |
