The Reykholt Music Festival is an international classical music festival held each year in the |
| Event History: | The Reykholt Music Festival was founded in 1997. Since then most of Iceland´s leading musicians have performed in the festival along with foreign guests s.a.the Vertavo Quartet, Love Derwinger, Risto Lauriala, Donald Kaasch,The Virtuosi di Praga, Petteri Salomaa, St. Christopher Orchestra and the Male Choir of St. Basil church in Moscow. The festival has earnt the reputation of beeing of very high standard and is now one of the biggest festivals in the country in the classical field. 9) Icelandic Government (Tónlistarsjóður), Cultural funds of the West of Iceland (Menningarráð Vesturlands), Region of Borgarfjörður (Borgarfjarðarsveit) and various cultural funds. |
