The annual Kirkjubæjarklaustur Chamber Music Festival will take place on 6 – 8 August 2010 in Kirkjubaejarklaustur, South-Iceland. This year marks the festival’s 20th anniversary. Chamber music of different styles from medieval Spanish Sephardic music to the premiere of a new contemporary work by Daníel Bjarnason will be performed by some of the country’s finest classical musicians: |
| Event History: | The concerts give people a good chance to enjoy classical music and the beauty of nature in the same place. They have been very popular since the beginning and due to limited accommodation in the vicinity of Kirkjubaejarklaustur guests are advised to book accommodation in advance. The festival is organized by The Skaftárhreppur Cultural Committee. |
