Iceland @ By:Larm!

This year's By:Larm festival in Oslo (18th-20th February) is looking to be one of the best edition yet. The program is full of exciting acts from all over Scandinavia: almost fifty handpicked Norwegian demo bands, thirty Nordic artists (five of them from Iceland!), twenty or so folk-/jazz- and roots artists as well as fifty more established Norwegian names ready to break internationally.

Jónsi News: Album, Tour And Video!

The release date of Jónsi's debut solo album, 'Go', has recently been confirmed for the week of April 5th around the world. Featuring nine songs drawn from the large pool of material amassed by Jónsi during his many years as singer with Sigur Rós and arranged in collaboration with classical wunderkind Nico Muhly the album now has a finished sleeve, conceptualised and realised by Jónsi's sisters Inga and Lilja.

Icelandic Music Days In Amsterdam!

Icelandic Music Days is a three day long music festival starting on the 11th of February until the 13th, 2010. In close co-operation with Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Icelandic Music Information Center it will bring Icelandic music to the people of Amsterdam. Young Icelandic musicians will come together from all over Europe in order to perform a musical part of their cultural heritage, whether classical music, folk or jazz.

Jóhann Jóhannsson: New Album & Tour News!

A new Jóhann Jóhannsson album, “And in the endless pause there came the sound of bees” is to be released on Type Records in April 2010. The album features Jóhann´s music for Marc Craste´s award winning film “Varmints”, which has won awards at film festivals in the US and Japan, was previously released in a limited edition only available on Jóhann´s US tour in summer 2009. The new “official” release includes two previously unavailable tracks.
