It's hard to describe Retro Stefson without reverting to a sort of excited sensationalism that usually comes off as being unwarranted.
This is caused by the fact that they write almost ridiculously good, catchy pop songs that sound like nothing that's being done by their peers, and perform them with a youthful vigour and energy that draws the listener right in and leaves their jaws wide open.
Add to this the realization that Retro Stefson's average age is slightly under sixteen and you will have sufficient ingredients to color anybody impressed.
Retro Stefson was founded by a group of eight school friends from Austurbæjarskóli in late 2006 and has kept very active since, performing at various festivities throughout the greater Reykjavik area and garnering some press attention for their should-be hit "Papa Paulo III".
Their adopted style, while not what one would expect today's hipster-teenagers to play, makes more sense when put in context with the bands rich genetic make up wh
