Conferences:
IMX is a regular participator in conferences all around the world. Not only that, but IMX holds its own conferences, the most recent being the universally appraised “Who Is In Control” (Reykjavik, 2007), which brought together industry luminaries such as Music and Media futurist Gerd Leonhard, Sony BMG spokesperson Fred Bolza, live event manager Gigi Dryer, Playlouder co-founder Paul Hitchman and the Beggars Group’s Jane Pollard, amongst others. Among the many topics discussed were “how to use the web and 3G”, “the importance of community marketing”, and “digital strategy and new business models”. In autumn 2008, IMX will be presenting a new conference: “You Are In Control”, which will take an incisive look at the DIY side of the music industry.
